We are currently looking for a Lead Backend Developer to join a project with one of our end clients in Poland.

Location: Remote with flexibility to be onsite in Warsaw, Poland

Role Overview
You will act as a Tech Lead, with a strong focus on backend development for web applications built by the client’s engineering team. You are expected to have hands-on experience with most of the following technologies:
- Backend Language: Java
- Framework: Spring Boot
- Relational Database: PostgreSQL
- NoSQL Database: MongoDB
- Event Streaming: Confluent Kafka, Kafka Streams
- Containerization: Docker
- Orchestration: Kubernetes
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps
- Identity Management: Keycloak
Responsibilities & Expectations
We are looking for someone who will:
- Lead by example through hands-on development and high-quality code
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Define technical direction and ensure consistency across backend services
- Review designs and pull requests against architectural standards
- Challenge assumptions and drive pragmatic, data-driven decisions
- Translate complex business requirements into robust backend solutions
- Promote automation, observability, and CI/CD best practices
- Collaborate across teams to enable interoperability and reuse
